First 2019 volunteers arrive to continue Raleigh’s development projects in Costa Rica

Eager to get familiar with their roles, what to expect for the next 13 weeks, and to prepare for the arrival of 18 Project Managers from various countries – including the UK, Nicaragua and Costa Rica – the team was taken through the details of the ongoing development projects Raleigh volunteers will be contributing to.

The line between disorder and order is logistics.”  Preparations continue on site for the volunteer Project Managers who will lead groups of young volunteers across various project sites including indigenous communities of the Chirripó region, the Guayabo National Monument, La Marta Wildlife Nature Reserve and La Cangreja National Park, as well as leading self-navigated treks throughout the mountainous terrain of Costa Rica as part of the expedition’s Youth Leadership programme.
